the company was renamed as HP State Forest Development Corporation Limited on 15th September, 2008. The resin and timber works were transferred to Corporation in a phased manner. HPSFDCL is primarily engaged in resin extraction, resin processing, timber harvesting and sale from Government forests in the State besides extraction of fuel-wood, pulpwood, khair and bamboo. From Resin, Rosin and turpentine oil and other subsidiary products like phenyl, varnish, black Japan etc are extracted as by products from R&T Factories located at Nahan and Bilaspur. As a secondary activities, Corporation also runs timber treatment plants, wood based unit and ecotourism sites.
